On “World Alzheimer’s day”, the four memory centers in Canton Vaud opened their doors to showcase their latest elderly care innovations to the public. At the event, the public was encouraged to interact with caregivers and trial many of the newest technologies available for geriatric care and enrichment. In total, 160 elderly from the community participated in the day’s events.
At CHUV, in Lausanne, Gait Up demonstrated the Gait Analysis Package for clinical use. Attendees to the event were invited to receive a clinical gait analysis, including a printed gait analysis report to share with their doctor. The event helped validate the practical implementation of Gait Up’s clinical gait analysis tools for routine daily use.
Gait Up has a strong history of collaboration with CHUV. Our combined work using Gait Up wearable motion analysis technology in real world clinical scenarios, has led to several successful clinical studies, and resulted in many peer reviewed publications. We are grateful to the longstanding support from the medical teams at CHUV, and we look forward to bringing the results from our years of hard work to patients in all corners of the world.
